Local entrepreneur Kara Nelson is adding a wellness centered community hub to Sarasota. Her newest venture, Fixxation Boutique, aims to connect like-minded women who value quality goods and view health as a status symbol. Completely unassuming from the outside, the interior has a modern jungalow vibe that works in the best way possible. In the boutique section you’ll find reputable cruelty free beauty and wellness products, along with clothing brands that focus on ethical production processes. To further cover the lifestyle spectrum and create a community vibe, the property also features ‘The Studio’ and ‘The Deck’, as Nelson likes to call them. The Studio allows for Sarasota and Bradenton locals to come together for yoga classes, networking events, trunk shows, creative workshops, and even a weekly Toastmasters meeting. The Studio is rentable to anyone who’s looking for an inviting atmosphere to create and cultivate connections. The Deck is a covered outdoor space that allows for larger groups of people. For the grand opening, Nelson utilized the outdoor deck to bring in adoptable dogs from the Humane Society of Sarasota County. Still in the process of renovations, The Deck will soon feature an airstream turned modern boutique bar, where locals can come for green juice, tea, coffee, beer, and wine.
