The Ringling Celebrates Volunteers at Recognition Program

The John and Mable Ringling museum of Art recently recognized the tremendous efforts of it corps of 500 volunteers. The group that has accumulated 56, 918 hours of volunteer service between June 2018 and July 2019 was treated to a catered breakfast and special recognition program in the Historic Asolo Theater. Hollie Corbitt, the Ringling’s Volunteer Coordinator said, “We have volunteers working in 16 different departments at The Ringling. Their efforts are equal to a donation of more than $1.4 million dollars. We are very proud of our volunteers and thank them all for their service to the museum.”

During the program, 4 Center Ring Stars were recognized. These volunteers were nominated by their peers for exemplary service. The 2018 – 2019 winners included Joe Angers, Barbara Arch, Olivia Haynes, and Leslie Young.

A group of volunteers who dedicated 500 hours or more to The Ringling in the 2018-2019 fiscal year includes:Leslie Young, Roberta Schaumleffel, Liliana Hoffman, Paul Ingrassia, Ingrid Nutter, Jean Etsinger, Connie Cooper, Jill Dickerson, Donald McGarvey, John Fisher, Wilmer Pearson, and Larry Kellogg.

Special recognition was also given to Debra Short, the Florida Assoc. of Museums Outstanding Volunteer 2019.
