November is National Epilepsy Awareness Month and JoshProvides Epilepsy Assistance Foundation is partnering with Epilepsy Services of SW Florida to ensure that adults with Epilepsy or other seizure disorders are able to receive medical services and treatment. JoshProvides Epilepsy Assistance Foundation awarded Epilepsy Services of SW FL with 30-day SCAT bus passes to distribute to individuals who participate in the ESSWFL Epilepsy Medical Clinic.

Transportation is a significant challenge for individuals who have epilepsy or suffer from other seizure disorders. In the State of Florida, individuals are prohibited from operating a vehicle until they are seizure free for a minimum of six months.

Andria Bilan, CEO, JoshProvides presented twenty-five bus passes to Alex Batalla, Case Manager & Barbara Coleman, Community Outreach Coordinator of Epilepsy Services of SW Florida.

Epilepsy is a neurological disorder that will impact 1 in 26 people during their lifetime. It is estimated that more than 400,000 individuals in Florida have been diagnosed with epilepsy. Seizures are unpredictable and directly impact the health and safety of the individual. To learn how you can help support individuals with epilepsy, visit www.JoshProvides.org
