State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota’s (SCF) Communications and Marketing (CAM) department has received five awards from the Association of Florida Colleges (AFC) Communications and Marketing Commission (CMC). The AFC has 28 member colleges.
SCF brought home one first-place award, two second-place awards and a pair of third-place awards. The top honor was awarded to the “2018-2019 Student Handbook and Planner.” The second-place finishes went to the 2019 women’s tennis team poster and the overall campaign promoting the College’s new Bachelor of Applied Science in Supervision and Management. Third-place awards were presented for the 2018 edition of “INSPIRE Magazine” and the flyer promoting Fall 2018’s Haunted House of Hoops.
CAM staff who had a role in the winning projects include Jamie Smith, director; Marci Shantz, assistant director; Mace Thirtle, lead graphic designer; Sonjai Persaud, former graphic designer; Samantha Dyer, former graphic designer; and Jon Stanton, former creative content coordinator.
“This recognition of our CAM team is certainly deserved,” said Smith. “They have done an excellent job of producing informative and aesthetically appealing materials to communicate with our current students, alumni and the community.”
