The Fine Arts Society of Sarasota, Inc. recently completed a rebranding effort, which includes a new logo, an updated mission statement, and a new website. The 50-year-old non-profit organization is now known as Arts Advocates, with the mission of inspiring creativity, advancing education and connecting the community to the arts.
Donna Maytham, president of Arts Advocates, stated, “Our vision is to be the leading arts organization in this vibrant community where art reigns. There are many non-profit groups that support a single art form such as dance, theatre, music or opera, but Arts Advocates is the only member-based group that embraces all art forms.”
Arts Advocates hired Think Donson to design the logo and develop the website. The new site, ArtsAdvocates.org, is more user-friendly and provides a more meaningful experience to site visitors. It features an easy-to-use event calendar, an online registration and payment system, and an online membership management program.
Arts Advocates will continue to award annual scholarships to art students, make grants available to qualified arts and educational organizations, sponsor art-related events, and promote the works of Florida artists through its collection on display at the Van Wezel. The organization has plans to increase the number of public programs it offers each year, and will open its monthly member meetings to non-members.
