The Team Tony Cancer Foundation, a Sarasota-based nonprofit organization that provides free peer-to-peer cancer support and resources to cancer fighters, survivors and caregivers in the local community, is hosting a childhood cancer awareness open house at its Sarasota-based Cancer Connection Center at 3562 S. Osprey Ave. in suite c from 2 – 4 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 15.
Sponsored by Ken Hoskinson Jr. of Hembree & Associates, the complimentary open house will feature 13 participating organizations, including 1Voice Foundation, 21st Century Oncology, Andrea Feldmar, Chick-fil-A, Faces of Courage, Kinsley Cookie Cart, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Music Compound, S.O.L.E., Sugar, SunCoast Blood Bank, The Payton Wright Foundation and Tidewell Hospice. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about each organization and participate in family-friendly fun with raffles and various prizes.
Event attendees are asked to park in Fifth Third Bank’s lot located in the Paradise Plaza at 3823 S. Osprey Ave. A trolley service will transport attendees to the Cancer Connection Center.
The nonprofit’s Cancer Connection Center is a coffee-shop-style concept that provides a safe, warm, supportive and welcoming environment designed to deliver peer-to-peer support, create a sense of belonging and provide free resources and educational opportunities to enhance the well-being of those impacted by cancer.
