DreamLarge Brings PINC Back to the Sarasota Opera House
The PINC Experience, also known as the most creative day in Sarasota, makes its return to the Sarasota Opera House on Dec. 12, 2019. An initiative of DreamLarge, and presented by Ringling College of Art + Design, the day-long experience will make its mark on Sarasota for the sixth year with a diverse selection of inspiring, creative, and captivating speakers. Tickets for this year’s event are going on sale Sept. 5 at PINCexperience.com.
“PINC opens our community to a unique opportunity, bringing people together for one day and inspiring them with a range of extraordinary experiences,” said Anand Pallegar, founder of DreamLarge. “With a vision for a brighter future for Sarasota and beyond, reinvigorating our personal and collective creativity is a pillar that catalyzes DreamLarge’s initiatives as thoughtfully curated, handcrafted experiences. At PINC, we gather some of the world’s most forward-thinking innovators and creative thinkers to enliven and motivate us to view our world and our community in unexpected ways.”
First Speakers Announced
DreamLarge is excited to bring Robert Szucs, an unconventional, altruistic Digital Cartographer and Gelareh Kiazand, a fearless Producer and Filmmaker, to the PINC stage as two of this year’s creative thinkers.
Robert Szucs is a Hungarian Digital Cartographer-turned-Artist who has worked with researchers across many practices, from archaeologists on the Caribbean island of St. Eustatius, to orangutans within a conservation program in Indonesian Borneo. His cartography expertise combined with a unique form of artistic expression has resulted in his colorful, artistic, yet scientifically accurate maps, which have been featured on CNN, BBC, and in The Washington Post, among others. Realizing how millions of people connected with his work, he intends to aid green and sustainable efforts through this passion project.
Gelareh Kiazand is an Iranian Filmmaker and Producer, bringing truth to life through her research and work. Her fearless determination and insatiable ambition build bridges between cultures by delivering the untold stories of people who don’t have the means to do so themselves. A true female powerhouse, her travels have taken her from being on the front lines during war times as the only woman around, to becoming one of Iran’s first female Directors of Photography for a Cinematic feature film post-revolution. Her work has been featured across platforms like VICE, Paramount, PBS, ARTE, CH4 UK, History Channel, and Al Jazeera.
