SCF Summer Cabaret to Explore Self-Discovery Through Music

The music program at State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) is pleased to present “Doorways to Discovery,” a summer music theatre cabaret on Thursday, June 13 and Friday, June 14 at 7:30 p.m. in the SCF Neel Performing Arts Center, Building 11 East, SCF Bradenton, 5840 26th St. W.

Featuring SCF Music Theatre Ensemble alumni, the cabaret will explore the theme of self-discovery through a variety of songs and musical styles, ranging from the classic (Finians’ Rainbow) to the contemporary (Dear Evan Hansen). Patrons will sit onstage with the performers during the cabaret as part of a unique interactive musical theater experience.

“Doorways to Discovery” is directed and accompanied on piano by SCF Director of Choral/Vocal Studies Melodie Dickerson. SCF Music Instructor Rex Willis will provide guitar accompaniment.

Performers include AJ Cali, Johana Davila, Corinne Deckard, Samone Hicks, Miranda Mertens, Kevin Moroney, Katelyn Priest, Nina Vannucci, Fernando Vera and Willis.
