The Global Business Council (GBC) of the REALTOR® Association of Sarasota and Manatee (RASM) is hosting the 13th Annual Global Conference with Florida REALTORS® Chief Economist, Dr. Brad O’Connor. In addition to a Florida real estate market update from O’Connor, the annual event will bring local and international speakers to discuss the global economy on a local level.
Canadians make up 41 percent of foreign buyers in Sarasota and Manatee counties. At the Global Conference, Susan Harper, Consul General of Canada in Miami, will lead a Canadian Workshop, alongside Steve Levy of Levy Salis LLP and Alain Forget from Royal Bank of Canada. The workshop will offer helpful tips to accommodate and capitalize on this significant part of the Florida real estate market.
On the local level, Kelly Defabo, Director of Sales at Visit Sarasota County, will provide an update on area tourism. Fernanda Cortes, an attorney at Beshara Global Migration Law Firm, will answer questions about EB-5 Visas, and a representative from Moneycorp will provide information on Foreign Exchange Rates. Conference attendees will also learn about inbound and outbound marketing from Nobu Hata, the Director of Digital Engagement at the National Association of REALTORS®.
Open to the public, the event is held at the Realtor® Association of Sarasota and Manatee (2320 Cattlemen Road) from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7. Registration is required, $30 for GBC members, $60 for RASM members and $65 for non-members. Visit myrasm.com/globalconference to register and view the conference schedule.
