The Florida Cancer Specialists (FCS) Foundation is thrilled to be the charitable recipient for Tampa Bay’s longest-running comedy benefit, Crack Up Cancer, which returns for its 17th year on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at The Floridian Social, located at 687 Central Avenue North, St. Petersburg, FL 33701. The show begins at 7:30pm and includes a stellar lineup of comedians!

Over the last 17 years, Crack Up Cancer has employed a grassroots approach to raise more than a half million dollars for local cancer patients and their families. In 2024, as in years past, 100% of net profits will go directly to Florida Cancer Specialists Foundation, which provides financial assistance to qualified cancer patients in Tampa Bay for non-medical living expenses, such as rent or mortgage, phone or car payments, and utility bills — helping relieve some of the financial stress on cancer patients and their families, allowing them to focus on their recovery.

This year’s roster of comics features:

  • Hugh Carey: recent winner of the Comedy Store’s Roast Battle in Los Angeles, Hugh is the host & producer of St. Pete’s Unholy Comedy Show
  • Vien Phommachanh: real-life physician by day, Vien is currently touring with the Heroes Off Duty and White Collar Comedy Tours
  • Sheena Reagan: named Florida’s Funniest Female in 2018, Sheena has performed at some of the top comedy clubs in New York and Chicago
  • Matt Fernandez: named one of the 15 funniest comedians you should follow on Twitter, Matt’s tweets have been featured on Ellen, Jimmy Kimmel Live, and The Today Show
  • Danny Bevins: described as “disturbingly hilarious,” Danny has been seen on Showtime, Comedy Central and Dry Bar Comedy

In addition to the laughs, Crack Up Cancer offers an incredible VIP Experience for $150 per person that includes the following:

  • Meet and greet opportunity with the comics prior to the show
  • Preferred seating close to the stage
  • Early entry at 6pm with food and drinks
  • An artisanal charcuterie board per 4 top table
  • Two alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages
  • 1 bottle of champagne per table
  • $25 worth of raffle tickets for the raffle conducted during the show

Lynn Rasys, Executive Director of the FCS Foundation, said, “Crack Up Cancer is one of our most popular fundraisers and seating is limited, so we want to encourage everyone to get tickets early. Some of Florida’s funniest folks always deliver an evening full of laughs and help us provide critical living expenses for adult cancer patients and their families.”

Tickets for Crack Up Cancer begin at $25 per person and may be purchased at CrackUpCancer.com.
